Caving

Teesside Adventure has established its self has the only AALA licensed provider that takes young people and adults caving in Teesside. Whether it is local or in the Yorkshire Dales, the staff are all qualified and have obtained their Local Cave Leaders Award for each specific venue and are very knowledgeable in the caves that they use.

Most of our staff are keen cavers and are members of the Deep Down Under Caving club with years of experience and knowledge. Our staff,  keep a constant check on the weather so that the conditions for each area are monitored closely enabling our activity to run smoothly.

The caves we use are:
- Crackpot cave over near Reeth which is a beautiful cave.

- Alum pot in Selside which is probably the most popular cave in the north of England for groups.

- The Nidderdale duo of Manchester hole and Goyden pot, which only a few meters apart, are probably the best group caves in the north of England.

If your group are total beginners, we use the Thistle and Runscar caves at Ribblehead which are suitable for all ranges of experience and are very safe, very popular with younger groups and adults alike.
Teesside Adventure believes that caving is the best activity to get groups working together and improve communication.

For the more adventurous groups and older clients who want to experience a more intense caving experience, we have staff who deliver a more challenging activity EG: learning SRT (single rope technique) with qualified CIC instructors based in the Yorkshire dales. After a couple of training sessions, will be able to do a more challenging days activity.

Teesside Adventure provides all the specialist equipment, all you have to bring is, a change of clothes, a towel and a packed lunch
