Gorge Scrambling

One of our most popular activities is Gorge scrambling and the best place to go is Hellgill near Kirby Stephen on the Cumbria and Yorkshire Dales border. This activity can be tailored to the group’s ability.

It involves an ascent and decent up a spectacular limestone gorge where the aim is to stay dry but sometimes, getting wet is inevitable! Especially in the warm summer months. It is a fantastic team activity as members of the team help and encourage each other to pass the many obstacles. Half way into the journey, we use ropes to climb a waterfall, and on the return journey, there is a plunge pool at the bottom of this waterfall. A great spot for a bit of fun! All equipment is provided and the members of our team are all very experienced and competent in this activity.
